Minneapolis, MN – January 15, 2015 – GameMill Entertainment today released a video game adaptation of ABC Studios’ television program, “Castle,” to tablets. Castle: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover is a hidden object and adventure game that brings the charmingly quirky investigations of mystery novelist Richard Castle and Detective Kate Beckett to iOS, Android and Windows 8 tablet devices for the first time.

“There are a lot of mystery programs on television, but ‘Castle’ achieves that rare balance between engaging drama, humor and high energy that translates wonderfully as a gaming experience,” said Mark Meadows at GameMill Entertainment.

Castle: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover teams players up with the series’ leading heroes to track down a dangerous serial killer across New York City. Like any great episode of the TV show, each crime scene is uniquely crafted to lead Castle and Beckett off the trail. But each new case will flesh out the mystery even further, revealing a pattern that’s increasingly personal for our protagonists. Players will need to spot items and clues within interactive hidden object stages to solve puzzles and crack the case before their suspect strikes again.

Castle: Never Judge a Book by Its Cover is now available to download on the iPad, as well as Android and Windows 8 tablet devices. About ABC Studios’ “Castle”

When viewers first met Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist, he was creatively blocked. But when the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books, Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle’s writer intuition and Beckett’s creative detective work. Becoming a couple during Season 5, planning their wedding during Season 6 and getting married in Season 7, the dynamic duo have been navigating those personal developments making each episode play out like a chapter in their lives…while at the same time solving crimes. Now married, viewers can still expect all the same fun, danger, excitement and relationship elements that people have grown to love over the past seasons.

“Castle” stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan, Penny Johnson Jerald as NYPD Captain Victoria Gates, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle with Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers.

“Castle,” which celebrated its 100th episode last year, is produced by ABC Studios. The executive producers are Andrew Marlowe (creator), David Amann (showrunner), Rob Bowman, Armyan Bernstein, Rob Hanning and Terri Edda Miller.
